Ketogenic calculator or fixed settings?
Hi,
I don't know which is the best setting for keto. Some say fixed settings are better. Help! :-)

Hi Nikkie,
You could try the Ketogenic Calculator if you don't have specific targets in mind. It gives you some where to start, while you figure out what works best for you!
I would also recommend entering in a body fat biometric to your diary if you are using this setting. It helps the software calculate your protein targets more accurately.
The Ketogenic Calculator limits your carbs and protein, according the level you choose, and sets your remaining calories to fat. For example, the moderate setting gives you 1 g protein per kg lean body mass; and sets your carb target to 40 g/day.

I'm using the ketogenic calculator, but it's telling me to eat 350 calories a day every day. I assume it's a glitch. I think I'll just switch to manual.

I am pretty sure the calories amount is based on your body weight (for BMR) and your activities. If you haven't put in your weight, the calculation would be way off. You can also set it a fixed number if you prefer.
