Exclude foods I don't eat

I am currently on an elimination diet, and have several food intolerances. It can be a bit frustrating to have to wade through lots of foods I don't eat, and in particular it makes the "suggest foods" & "Oracle" features nearly useless to me as they inevitably suggest lots of things I can't eat!

It would be great if there was a way to exclude some foods, or whole groups of foods (e.g. using the existing category feature), from the database, so that suggested foods are more likely to be things I can eat.

I know quite a lot of people on restricted diets (e.g. paleo) use Cronometer, so I certainly can't be the only person who would like to see this feature!

  • I'm not on the same diet but find the Oracle a little frustrating for the same reason, so I thought I'd resurrect this post. I'm not getting enough calcium, so did a search for it in a few categories like supplements, vegetables and fruit. The results are largely useless to me - I'm not going to ever grab some Swiss Miss cocoa, lactose reduced milk, stinging nettles, or cooked lambsquarters (whatever those are) in order to increase calcium. Most of the results seem to be like that, which makes for a lot of scrolling and sifting. It would be really useful if we could exclude foods we never intend to eat.
