No Way To Add Custom Food in iOS Without Gram-based weight?
Hi,
I'm starting to realize that I'm going to have to enter a lot of foods manually in cronometer. That's fine - I like being thorough.
But when I have to do it from my iPhone, I'm forbidden from saving the new food unless I enter the serving size in grams. Which is a problem, because I use my phone when I'm mobile. Away from my home and scale. Like at a restaurant, where weight isn't always included in the nutritionfacts label.
In these cases, I'll go home and look it up online or refer to a photo of the nutrition facts. On the Cronometer site, I can just select "serving" without a weight.
Am I missing something? Is doing this on iOS actually possible?
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
As long as you enter a food name and a serving name, you can create a custom food with the serving weight field empty.
Would you mind sending us a screenshot to support@cronometer.com of what happens after you try to save the food without a serving weight and we'll look into this with you.
Thanks!
