Annoying UI when changing units in diary.
When entering food to the Diary, if you enter a value and then change the unit it sets the value to a default.
For example, if you add juice it will default to a bottle with value 1.
If you want to change it to 50g, you can't change the value first because selecting g overwrites the value to 100.
which is small but annoying as most users will fill forms in left to right.

I noticed this too, super annoying. I have the impression it wasn't like this in the past, maybe its a new bug?
-
I think the reason is that it's doing an automatic conversion between units. So a bottle is 100g, so when you switch to g it sets it to the converted value first, then you can change it.
It does make sense if, say I recorded something from a label in oz, but want to convert it to g, it does the calculation for you.

@MetalPirate no, it doesn't convert, it always sets it to 100 g when you switch the unit, no matter what it was before.

1) I would like every food to have the same basic measurements starting out from mg to g to tsp to Tbs oz cups.
2) Id like an automatic measurement converter so that I don’t have to Google it.

@SaladDestruction that sounds like a bug! I've logged it for our developers to take a look. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.
