Adding food by barcode vs searching
Hi,
I am wondering how the barcode search works / why it pulls results that I can't see regularly. If I search the exact same text, I won't see my food. But if I search by barcode, I do. It pulls up the Nutritionx info, something you can't search for in the app. Is this a bug, or how do I pull up Nutritionx info if I need to use it for something added manually? (meaning without the barcode)
Warmly,
Eric

Hi there,
The Nutritionix database is only accessible when searching by barcode - not a bug!

Can I ask why this is?
I wanted to log a "chicken katsu curry" but only the nutritionix database has an entry for it.
Is there some restriction on searching this data from the app?

We've licensed Nutritionix data as a barcode scanning database meaning it's restricted to searching by barcode number.
