Is there a way to add arginine to the amino acid profile? Thanks for any help!

@KatKeto , its there!! You might not be able to see it as it is not visible by default. Good data fro Arginine is not generally available from our nutrition data sources; since there is very little data for Arginine in our database, your tracked values may be significantly lower than they actually are.

However, if you still wish to track Arginine, settings can be changed by following these steps:

    1) Select the 'Profile' Tab

    2) In the 'Nutrient Targets' section, and find the nutrient

    3) Select the ''Visible'' check box next to the nutrient

Keep in mind that arginine is a non-essential amino acid so there is not target set. You will still quickly see how much you have consumed for the day. And you can set your own custom target if you like.

  • Thank you, Karen! Really helpful. I'm just curious to know which proteins are highest in arginine because of its role in gluconeogenesis - I'm following a ketogenic diet.
