Can you eat banana leaves?
I know they are not usually eaten, but could you eat them?

I don't think so. It's so fibrous it would be like eating fabric.
They don't break down at all in cooking, I doubt they would break down in your stomach.
I guess you could put them in a food processor, but that much fibre could jam you right up.
They are not eaten in Asia, as far as I know. That tells me they are not food.
