Browser freeze after changing measuring units, Desktop

Windows 10, 16Gb memory, i-3 6100.
Sometimes (more often than not) when I change measuring units (for example from cups to grams), my browser (Vivaldi, Chromium based) freezes for ~10-15 seconds. It's been like this pretty much always. A little bit of a nuisance.

Can be both. Once you've chosen a new unit from the drop down menu, the page (might) freeze as if a lot of data is being downloaded or something.
