Calories Burned WAY off from Fitbit
Hello,
I'm super curious about the accuracy of the calories burned in Cronometer.
It is, on average, typically 400-500 more than the calories burned in Fitbit. For example, yesterday on January 24th, Fitbit says I burned 2041, whereas Cronometer says I burned 2526.
I think it is because of the activity level I have set.
Cronometer imports my activity and exercise from Fitbit automatically.
Is my activity level off? Do these apps simply use different calculations?
Here are some screenshots of the last few days, to show examples:
Also, how do you graph your Calories Burned in Cronometer Trends?
Thanks!

Since you're tracking your activity with your Fitbit, we recommend setting your activity level (the blue portion of your energy burned circle) to none in Cronometer to avoid double-counting.
Head over to the Settings tab > Targets > Energy Settings. Tap on Activity Level and then select None.
Let us know if that better matches what Fitbit reports

Thank you!
I must admit....
Since the activity levels don't have descriptions in the Mobile drop-down selection, I didn't know I was supposed to select None from the get-go.
It wasn't until I encountered this thread today (from days ago ) that I learned there are supposed to be descriptions tied to the activity levels: https://www.reddit.com/r/cronometer/comments/s893yn/problem_with_choosing_activity_level/
(They're only visible after you select them in Mobile...)
Cheers, Karen!! ✌️
P.S. Yes, it is much, much closer to the Fitbit Calories Burned!

I'm glad that's working much better. Thanks for your feedback about the activity level settings too. I'll bring it up with the team
