Smoothie vs Plate
I’m new here, and this is my first question on the forum.
My wife and I are trying to get our nutrition organized in our venture into vegetarian eating. We start each day with a smoothie we put together in a high powered blender. We don’t use fruit juice or added sugar.
I was wondering if it were better to eat the vegetables and fruits whole, or is it the same as having it in a smoothie. It is much easier in the smoothie, that’s for sure. The reason I ask is that I read somewhere that the blender can mess with the nutrients as it cuts up all the cells in the vegetables and fruits, leaving nothing for the gut bacterial flora.
