Trouble adding supplements into the food diary daily

I am hoping that you can help I take a number of Caruso's natural health supplements daily to manage osteoarthritis and other things but I am finding I can't add all the different supplements in as they are not listed when I search for them. I have tried adding them in as a food but cannot do that for all of them as some of the ingredients are not listed for me to add in as the food. Do I just not add those supplements in that I take daily or If I gave you a list of the ingredients that I could not find could they please be added to the ingredients data base? Thank you very much in advance for any help and advice you can give with this. Paula :)

Sorry that nobody responded 4 months ago. I'm just another customer, but, in my experience, you'd have to create a custom meal or recipe and add each ingredient to each supplement, then save that. Then you can add each supplement to Repeat Items (under Food) and, when it works, you'll see a prompt at the TOP the first time you log into your Diary each day asking if you want to add your repeat items. I hope that's clear enough.

If they're not custom-made for you, then you could also look for that kind of supplement but another brand and make sure the sources and amounts are the same. Then do the same Repeat Item routine.

(Unfortunately, after using it since I upgraded to Premium several weeks ago, it quit working yesterday and deleted all of my previous entries. I've been unable to even find a way to send a request for help to the staff. Nothing but automated ZenDesk instructions for how to create Repeat Items, which I already know how to do and did. That's new, surprising, and disappointing. Someone from Cronometer used to respond within a reasonable time.

  • Thanks very much SoloAct for your reply. I have tried numerous times to add in all supplements but have realised now that it is impossible. The reason being is that not all the ingredients in the supplements are listed on the site to be able to pick from. the data base just doesn't have all ingredients in it. Not to worry though. So sorry to hear of your issues after upgrading to premium. Good luck with getting it all sorted out. All the best with your weight loss journey. Take care and stay safe, Paula :)

I ran into the same thing with my fish oil supplement. What worked for me was scanning the barcode from the bottle using the mobile app, then editing the entry details before saving it. If it's not in the database, you can add it manually by entering the nutrition info from the label. I usually do this for any new fish oil I try, especially since each brand’s amounts can vary.

  • Thanks for your reply. If it's not in the data base I cannot add it manually by entering the nutrition information from the panel as ingredients for example with these two : Salix Alba or Zingiber Olfinate are not there for me to choose from. I don't think what I am trying to do is actually possible in any way. I have come to realise that unfortunately! As as well as scanning the barcode of the particular supplement it does not always work as not all ingredients on the barcode are in cronometer and most supplements I take have more than one ingredient in it. When I scan the barcode and go to edit it I can do that but then once again not all ingredients are listed to add to the particular entry and it is not a complete supplement add daily if some ingredients are missing if you get what I mean. It does not then accurately show in the nutrition report which is what I am wanting it to do. Thanks anyhow for answering my question and trying to help it really does mean a lot. You take care :)
