How can I input a specific amount of miles ran instead of an effort level and duration?

The current state of inputting a run is wildly inaccurate and frankly is my main dislike with cronometer. For instance, on Saturdays I do a easy/moderate effort 13 mile run with my friend and it takes 100-110 minutes depending on how much we have to stop at intersections. Cronometer thinks that running 13 miles at a moderate effort is only 593 calories? That is ridiculous! Excluding BMR, I would imagine a 13 mile run at a little faster than 8:00/mi is 1000-1100 calories. Is there a way I can get a better input instead of fudging the numbers to match a realistic calorie burn?
