Option to turn off net carbs display?

I prefer to track total carbs over net carbs. The good news is that I can easily do that.

My issue is that in my weekly summary (and every for individual food item) I can still see the net carbs displayed when I'd much rather focus on other nutrients. And for whatever reason, there is no option to turn this off.

I'm aware this is a nitpick, but I just don't understand why there is not an option to turn it off?

  • Hi Sss,

You can change your settings to track total carbs instead. Head on over to:
Settings > Targets > Macronutrient Targets.
Use the drop-down menu next to "Tracking carbohydrates as" and select total carbs.

This should change the net carbs displayed to total carbs where you are seeing it now.

    Cheers!

Right, but it doesn't change net carbs to carbs. It still displays net carbs AND carbs.

I'd also like to make clear that I'm referring to the "Complete Nutrient Summary" page seen on both individual food items, and the weekly summary. Not the pie chart or the values next to it.

  • You can also hide Net Carbs from your nutrient targets. This applies to the detailed Nutrition Summary in the Carbohydrates section of your Diary page as well as your Nutrition Report.

To hide net carbs, please go to: Settings > Targets > Nutrient Targets > Carbohydrates
Then remove the check mark in the Visible column for net carbs.

This does not hide the complete nutrition information shown for a food in the Foods tab, though. I'll share your request with the rest of the team.

I'd like to let you know that I figured out why it wasn't working before. There is no option to remove net carbs visibility in the APP, but on the website the option is there. Not sure why it's not on the app, but I've solved my problem, so it's okay.

And I wasn't trying to hide nutrition in the food tab. Just the nutrient summary.

  • Thanks for letting us know! I'll log that for our developers to fix.

I appreciate your troubleshooting to figure that out!

    Cheers,
