Options
metric values as default, change to proper values based on origin or option to change to metric
I noticed that cronometer is showing ounces while I am living in a country where the metric system is used. Looked around, but this doesn't seem to be configurable.
I would suggest to set metric values as a sane default, Everybody - except the US, Myanmar and Liberia - is using the metric system.
Another option could be to use metric or non-metric values based on the users location, or allow users to change it themselves.

We also typically offer grams in the serving sizes for foods. Though it would be great to see this as your default for each new food, Cronometer will remember what you used last time so you will be presented with 'g' next time you use the food.

I agree. Grams is great, though that's not usually very applicable as many things are measured in volume and length when it comes to cooking.
