calories burned with exercise

edited October 2020 in General Discussion

Does Cronometer calculate the calories that you burn with exercise in Nutrition Report and deduct them from the calories you have eaten?

Yes! The calories you burn from exercise will be taken into account in the Calories Burned number in the Calories Summary area of the Nutrition Report.

It might also be reflected in your Energy Target bar in the Macronutrient Targets section of the Nutrition Report, depending on how you are tracking your macros. For example, macro ratios will add the calories you burned from exercise to your energy target.

Thank you for your reply. So, does this mean that at the end of week, when I check Trends > Nutrition Report > Macronutrient Targets I'll see the Energy bar with the calories I've consumed less the calories I burnt?

    Hi GingerEvie,

No, it looks like you have set up your macronutrient targets using Fixed Values; these settings allow you to customize your energy target and it will stay the same each day regardless of the number of calories you burn.

In your Nutrition Report, the energy target will show you how many calories you consumed on average in relation to your customized energy target.

I get it now. Thank you so much!

Exercising shouldn't be factored into what you eat that day. If you eat more then, you won't lose weight.
