Samsung Health Sync

Hello,

I am not able to see synced step count from Samsung Health, but all other info seems to sync OK. How often does this information sync?

I have tried unlinking from Samsung Health and reinstalling with no luck.

I appreciate any assistance you can offer, as I love this app otherwise.

  • Hi there,

Cronometer does not import the number of steps from Samsung Health, though the calories you burn taking those steps are included in the calories burned that are imported.

  • Hi Karen,

    Thanks for your reply.

I can't see any adjustment to my Calories Burned total. Its the same number at the end of the day - just my BMR with no Exercise or Activity Level additions (my activity level is set to zero)

  • Hello again,

If you check your Data permissions in your Samsung Health account, do you see Cronometer listed there? Check out our user manual for the steps to check that: https://cronometer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056420172

Shoot us an email at support@cronometer.com if you're still running into issues.

  • I would second a request for syncing total daily step count. More and more cronometer is becoming the central hub for all of my health and wellness data, calories burned from step counters a WAY overestimated so I never include that in my TDEE, but it would be nice just for tracking purposes as far as activity goes.

  • I was wondering about why the calories are not accurate for normal activity then I checked your link Karen and only the 'logged exercise calories ', not general calories, are sync'd.

Was wondering why there were double the calories burned in Cronometer than Samsung Health

In my profile settings, in Cronomoter, should I change my Activity Level to something other than NONE? I had it on none due to the fact I had a Fitbit device. It would then maybe be more accurate for the general calories burned each day?

  • I read on a bit more on that link, and it says leave it on none. Sorry.

  • Did anyone manage for their burned calories to be imported into cronometer, besides the ones from workouts?
