Sort By not working

I've noticed that the Sort By feature isn't working. If set it to Most Recent, then to Most Frequent nothing changes. I just set it to Most Recent with the Favorites filter set and at the top of the list are items I haven't added to my diary in days or weeks while items I've added hours ago are buried. If I disable the Favorites filter I'll get items I've never added to my diary at the top of my list. This is rather frustrating and has been driving me up the wall as of late.
