Calorie Summery versus BMR only/Multiple entries

Hello...I apologise if this question has been answered elsewhere but my search missed it!

two newbie questions

Is there any way of adjusting the calorie summery to show the energy target 'tape' versus total calories burnt rather than BMR? It seems strange that the default ignores general activity and exercise calories.

Is it posible to add multiple food entries on the browsers based system like you can "+" on the app based device?

Great system overall!

  • Hi @david_atlarge

The calories burned bar shows your BMR, your estimated average activity (from the activity setting you have chosen in your profile) and any calories you have burned from exercise that you have entered into your diary. Note, you can click the gear button in the upper right of this panel to see detailed help and settings.

Adding multiple foods to your diary is something we are working on - stay tuned!

  • Hi Karen

    Thanks for your reply.

I may have found a glitch. I recently reset my Macronutrient Targets to "Fixed Targets" and whilst in this config the Calorie Summary section showed the Energy bar's consumption target was only BMR so the actual calorie digested displayed more than 100% despite being below the total for BMR+General Activity+Exercise.

I have now returned to Custom Macros and my Energy bar now shows my target in respect of total calories burned.

I hope this helps. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to attach screen shots to this post to help explain this better. If you would like some before and after pics then email me.

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hi David,

If you could send the screenshots to support@cronometer.com so we can get more information about the discrepancy you are seeing between the calories consumed and the calories burned.

For a description of the information presented in the Calories Summary area of the diary page, see our user guide here: https://cronometer.com/help/diary/#calories

    Thanks!
