sync with apple health

I just read that you to sync with apple health you should turn you activity to none to ensure that it does not double up on activity calories, I'm not sure I understand how it will double up, I've tried turning my activity to none and it gives me a low calorie intake for the day of 1099 which is to low.

    Hi fitgirl,

We recommend setting your activity level to none when you are importing all of your daily activity from a fitness tracker. Otherwise, you will include an estimate of your daily activity in Cronometer (activity level in your Profile) AND you will be importing your calories burned from your activity tracker.

To sync your Apple Health data, you must log into the Cronometer app on your mobile device (this integration does not happen on the website). Learn more about syncing with Apple Health in our user guide: https://cronometer.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020734212-Apple-Health

I have mine set to none and I do not have any data from Apple health. I synced going back a few weeks and nothing shows up. When I look on Apple Health it says that I walk a few miles a day and climb a few flights of stairs.

I notice that when this syncs, my workouts show up from other apps that synced into Apple Health but there is no kcal associated with it so it isn't calculated in Cronometer but if I manually put in those activities, kcal is calculated in Cronometer? Do I have to keep manually inputting these workouts for kcal to be showing up?

    Hi @minx ,

Are you currently using an Apple Watch?

We currently do not import steps tracked from your phone's step counter. Apple Health only converts steps into burned calories if you have an Apple Watch.

Can Chronometer be synced with other activity recorders? I use Runtastic to track walking, running, hiking, climbing, weight classes, etc.
