Lean Body Mass Calculation Error
Here's the calculation for lean body mass that every other calculator uses: I'm going to use the example of a 240 pound person with BMI of 43. Step 1 Weigh yourself with a body fat scale. The scale will automatically calculate your percentage of body fat. (Body fat % = 43) Step 2 Subtract your body fat percentage from 100… -
Sugar to stop gluconeogenesis?
Hi! I have asked similar questions on the forum before only to discover that people that know much about ketosis don't seem to frequent this forum at all. That being said let me begin: I have had unexplained high blood sugars (Not being under stress and having high cortisol) during outright water fasts and now on what Dr.… -

Re: Please surface recent foods first
Yes, when you tap "Add food", you can see "Most recent" foods. But that's a short list. Try searching there for a food you had "recently", like 3-5 days ago, but not very frequently. Cronometer might not find it. Here's an example: I had this "Calafia" or something cold brew coffee (can't remember the exact brand, just… -
Re: Paste to Today
Another vote for this feature. Seems pretty trivial to add (in my opinion as a software engineer), at least in the web version, and at least for one food. Simply add another menu item to the context menu for right clicking on foods. The code to copy and paste already exists. I'd be really surprised if this took more than… -
Re: Haven't lost weight in 6 months?
@w95677 Congratulations on the weight loss success thus far! As I mentioned in my post, the main reasons why plateaus occur is 1) lower metabolism 2) reduced calorie intake. I wouldn't lower your calories past your BMR as this is more likely to result in plateauing (via the starvation syndrome). Another consideration is… -
Recipe Management/Meal Plan Generator/Shopping/Sharing
I think CronoMeter is great at tracking and the user interface is pretty intuitive and efficient to use. :) But what I really want is 1 application that is CronOmeter with the recipe management of Paprika, a good meal plan generator, and a shopping list tool like Listonic or GroceryIQ. I have looked at many programs. They… -
Still Walking the Long Road to Better Health
After hitting 65 and the highest weight in my life after menopause (and obviously mindless eating) with blood work that wasn't the best, I was determined in October 2017 to start the processes to improve diet and overall health. Although there is a lot of longevity (90+ years at death) in familial background, there is… -
Stratifying My Foods By Nutrient Density
I thought it would be fun to figure out a way to stratify the foods in my diet by nutrient density. So, I created this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VnG4oMoHyjMZLvSVgoKYzNFnZUKXlAuvipIghhUk-QQ/edit?usp=sharing. Contained within it is virtually every food I typically eat, and a few that I eat on… -
Re: Impact/consequences of slightly incorrect data
Just a couple points: 1. The data on packaged foods is not 100% accurate, so I wouldn't automatically assume that the label is right and the database is wrong. You can look up the rounding rules elsewhere, but they aren't as straightforward as you might assume. 2. Little of the data anywhere is 100% accurate for any single…
