Ginger root and carbs
Will ginger root carbs seep out into water? I like to slice it thin and simmer for an hour or so and use the "tea" to add flavor to other teas and drinks. Thanks for the help!

Yes, a few carbs(and other nutrients) will seep out. Ginger root is however a very healthy vegetable, and the few slices you use for your tea probably won't make a big difference on your nutrient chart. I'd either ignore the ginger and just record the water of the tea, or simply only record half of the nutrients of the ginger used.
