Changes in Macros messes up past entries

Why does Cronometer change past macro ratios when you put in new targets? This prevents you from analyzing past info and comparing with the new macro targets. Would be nice if the Macros only just affected the current data, just like when you change a recipe and can choose whether or not to apply it to past entries.

  • Hi jk18,

It is one of our big projects on the horizon to change your targets without affecting the past. Thanks for your feedback!

  • Is this related to my starting weight that will not allow me to change it ? It keeps reverting to my goal weight and throwing off all of my macros.

  • Hi Kellea,

To remove the first weight you entered into your account, find the date in your diary when the incorrect weight was entered. Often this is the same date that your created your account.

If you are not sure of the date, look at your weight graph in the trends tab. Increase the time range until you can find the incorrect weight. Hover over the point in the graph to find the date. Next, go to your diary and navigate to that date in your diary, using the calendar. Delete the incorrect weight from you diary, or edit it to enter the corrected value.

Let me know if you run into any issues.

  • Would it be possible to add a search feature to the diary entries tab?

  • @DJS1049 could you describe the functionality of this feature to help me understand it a bit better?

  • It would be nice to be able to enter a date or food item into a diary search bar in the app to quickly access/find a previous day/entry rather than to have to back-click day by day to reach an earlier day/entry from your phone app. If there is a way to do this already please let me know. Love the app and use it daily, thanks for continuing to try and improve it for all of us!

  • Hi DJS1049,

You can navigate to other dates in your diary more quickly by click on the green date banner in the top right corner to expand a monthly calendar:

Use the double arrows (circled in blue) to jump by year and the single arrow (circled in red) to jump by month.

Searching the diary to quickly find foods you have previously entered is a good idea - I will put it on our list of feature requests.
