I'm close to getting my weight goal... what can I expect from cronometer?
I've set my goal to lose 1lb/week, so my daily caloric reduction is about 600 cal. What happens with cronometer settings when I put in my weight and it's slightly below my stated weight goal? Many thanks.

I was closer than I realized, as I met my weight goal today. And so I can answer my question from yesterday as to what happens: nothing.
Oddly, Cronometer doesn't register in any fashion that your weight goal has been met.. and as a result, would continue the same level of caloric restriction even though one is not intending to loose more weight. This seems to me to be an oversight, and a rather unsatisfying one, since achieving health goals (and learning mountains along the way) is why we are all here.

Congrats on meeting your weight goal; Thanks so much for sharing your success!
Other users have noted this oversight as well and we are looking into a change for the weight goal feature. Thanks for checking back in on the forumHilary

Just a note that if you lost weight, your calorie needs will actually decrease as a result. This means that after weight loss, there shouldn't necessarily be a return to baseline or higher calorie needs. Essentially, I would re-calculate your energy needs using your current body weight and activity level, while setting your goal at maintenance.
