What is the optimum ketone urine test level?
when I started following Dr. Mercola's guidelines my Ketone urine levels were 5- 40 mg/dl. Now after 2 months on the diet they have dropped down to negative or only a trace although I have been continuing to follow the guidelines.

Peetone strips only measure the excess ketones that your body is excreting. In other words, a positive reading on the strips can indicate ketosis, but a negative reading does not necessarily indicate that you are not in ketosis. I would suggest a blood ketone tester, personally I like the Precision XTra as I can get the test strips through ExpressScripts and pay for them with my FSA.
