Problems with calorie totals
I must be missing something. My dietician showed me how to set the value in a different app. I’m having problems setting it on Cronometer. I set fixed values and my weight is set to maintain current. She asked for 1500 calories a day 35%/131g protein, 35%/131g carbs, 30%/50g fat. These are the values I entered in the fixed setting. My diary shows I need to consume 2400 kcals. Why is it not 1500 like I set? Thank you.

Are you looking at the second wheel (i.e. calories burned)? If so, this is showing you what your energy expenditure is (includes BMR, activity level, and any structured activity you enter). This number doesn't change when you set a calorie target; it only changes if you enter activity or change your activity level.

Hi Susan,
On the calories summary screen with the 3 circles, the far right shows 2400 as the balance. The left circle is “consumed” showing zero. Middle circle is “burned” and shows 2400. Thanks for any help. -
The 2400 is showing the number of calories you need to consume if you want to maintain your weight. You can view your individual calorie target by clicking on the percentage next to "energy" and setting an individualized target.
