How to publish food without a barcode - sea bass fillet, skin on
Hi
I'm very new to this, but finding my way around.
I found the following info that I have now utilised for myself, but wanted to share as it seems the best info I could find out there short of analysing to the nth degree. As far as I can tell, at the moment there's nothing in the Cronometer database with this amount of detail.
I can't seem to publish it as it obviously has no barcode.

Hi Lyrrad,
We have the USDA database in Cronometer, and even have this food, so you don't have to input the nutrients yourself. Search for "Fish, sea bass, mixed species, cooked, dry heat"
Cheers!

I've had the same issue as Lyrrad with another food. I can find very detailed nutrition information which isn't included in the official database for it - as the above comparison demonstrates. How do we add the additional nutrient breakdown to a food? :-)

Hi Sooz,
You can edit a copy of an existing food in our database to enter in even more nutrient details that you have found!
Use the Foods tab, then select the Search Foods tab.
Click the +Search Foods button to search for and select a food.Use the menu in the top right corner to select the option to Edit a Copy. You can then make edits and save it as one of your custom foods to use.
Best,
