Diet for optimal brain health/ performance
Hi, does anyone know what the brain needs and way to determine its optimal nutrition and delivery of nutrition to the brain?

I don't think we fully know all the nutrients important to brain health but a few that stand out include:
- Calories - brain matter shrinks in calorie-deficient diets
- Glucose - at minimum amounts
- Omega 3
I'd also advise at hitting 100% of the RDA/AI for nutrients and including plenty of plant-based foods that are rich in phytonutrients. Also, limiting alcohol and avoiding smoking, while getting good sleep and sufficient activity is a good strategy.

Thank you for your advice, this seems consistent with what I read. Calories is a new angle for me though but this is definitely sensible
