sugar

hello, the moment i eat fruit , i get a red alert in the column , i am a prediabetic, so i would like to know if it is not alright to eat fruit or is there a difference in natural sugars and plain sugar, i know we are not supposed to eat to much sugar but avoiding it all, as it is in nearly every fruit and veg we eat it is a problem

    There hasn't been a case of someone developing diabetes because they've eaten too much fruit. In fact, the World Health Organization has actually quantified the number of deaths that can be prevented if people were to eat more fruit.

    When you eat fruit, you are also eating fibre, water, and nutrients, all of which contribute to health.

    To keep blood sugars stable, I'd suggest eating fruit with a source of healthy protein, such as almonds, pumpkin seeds, plain Greek yogurt, or some nut butter.

  • okay thank you for the information, i will keep it in mind, and i am happy that i can continue eating my fruits because i love fruit and vegs, since i am pre diabetic i was never sure if it was good or bad to eat fruit, i did stop eating the cakes and stuff that got me the diabetic stuff in the first place, so all will turn out fine when i have my next checkup at the doctors
