I noticed when I enter fresh foods that I prepared myself, I see the amino acids that were in the food listed. When I enter frozen meals, canned foods, I don't notice the amino acids. Is that a flaw in the program or a message to cook more??
This depends on the source of the nutrient information.
Brand name foods tend to have only the nutrition information reported by the manufacturer on the nutrition label. They are not required to report the amino acid profile of their foods.
Instead, I would recommend searching for the closest generic alternative from NCCDB in our database; these foods will always give you an estimate of the amino acid breakdown in foods.
