Calcium Magnesium Ratio
If your daily goal for (the cronometer default of) Calcium is 1200mg, and for (the cronometer default of) Magnesium, 320 mg, that produces a ratio of 1200/320 = 3.75.
But the (the cronometer default) ratio, or 'nutrient balance' for Calcium to Magnesium is around 1.3.
There is no way to reach a good ratio with these default parameters--or most reasonable tweeks.
I don't understand. TIA.

Hi ChristinaCinque,
I suggest deferring to the individual nutrient targets, based on the Dietary Reference Intakes. Though, it is more important to consider the ratio when consuming large supplemental doses of these nutrients, they likely do not apply to the general healthy population when consuming calcium and magnesium from foods.
The nutrient balance ratios come from educated speculation, but the strength of the evidence is lacking and therefore these ratios are not included in the Dietary Reference Intakes, for example.
