Fried fresh food
Hi there,
I'm not sure which options to choose when creating a recipe.
I start a lot of dishes by frying (olive oil) some fresh garlic and chopped ginger root.
I'm not sure which items to choose from the database.
For example, I can see:
Doree, Fried Garlic (but this is a ready product - with some unknown seasoning or oil)
For ginger, I don't seem to be able to find anything relevant.
What would be the best choice of items to represent:
Heating some olive oil and adding some chopped fresh ginger, and garlic cloves?
I understand that it's never going to be 100% accurate but at least some close approximation.
Thank you

When you use olive oil to saute veggies for example, how do you calculate the calories? or where in the nutrition data base do I find the answer?

I usually just go by the amount of oil I use. I have started cooking all my food in the same oil, as well.
