Custom nutrient target bugs [with photos]

When I click a nutrient to change it's target value from RDA to custom, the % has some pretty strange behavior.

Example 1:
Here I had the minimum = 1g and maximum = 100g

Example 2:
Here I had the minimum = 1g and maximum = 2g

Example 3:
Here I had the minimum = 0g and maximum = 2g

Example 4:
Here I had the minimum = 0g and maximum = 100g

I checked this with other nutrients than sugar and they appear to have the same behavior.

  • Hello Dunkin,

We calculate the % of your target based on the minimum target. The idea is to quickly see whether you have consumed enough of each nutrient for the day.

    Example #1
    44.7 g sugar/ 1 g minimum target x 100% = 4470%
You are still below your maximum target of 100 g, the bar is coloured green.

    Example #2
Same minimum target = same %
You are above your maximum target of 2 g, the bar is coloured red.

    Example #3
Minimum target is set to zero, since we cannot divide by zero so there is no percentage calculated.
You are above your maximum target of 2 g, the bar is coloured red.

    Example #4
Minimum target is set to zero, since we cannot divide by zero so there is no percentage calculated.
You are still below your maximum target of 100 g, the bar is coloured green.

    Best,
    Karen
