Newbie a little stuck on how to use app
New here.
Slightly confused about using the app. Do i literally just record what im eating and thats it?
Are the targets specific to me or are they generalised? Do i need to change things before i begin?
I am vegan and breastfeeding..i wasnt sure if targets given take this into account?
Thank you

Hi Rlw,
The nutrient targets are set to the USDA's recommended dietary allowances (RDAs) for your age and gender by default. In the Profile tab, you can also choose 'Lactating' to get more specific targets to account for breast feeding.
Once your profile is set up. Click the diary tab and start adding the foods you are eating. For tips on how to get the most nutrition information from Cronometer, take a look at this blog post on the topic: https://cronometer.com/blog/6-tips-getting-nutrition-data/

We also have some general information about how to use the software in the User Manual, which you can find in the help tab, here: https://cronometer.com/#help

Hi @Rlw , Welcome to Cronometer!
You can record your diet, and also record your activity and a variety of biometrics. Definitely have a look at your profile page to make sure you have your diet set up for your personal needs. If you aren't sure, I would recommend contacting your healthcare professional. We have a default setting you can use for lactating women. In the body details section of the profile tab, choose 'Lactating'.It's a steep learning curve, but once you get used to it, Cronometer can be a very powerful tool to help you with your health goals! Have a look at our resources online to learn more. If you are just starting out, I would recommend having a look at our Youtube Channel, specifically, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otzyHZ2Y1mU&index=1&list=PLwVXgmubuwgJrxhZXqfs-Wv4tSCwUyeIV and the FAQ page: https://cronometer.com/help/misc/faq.jsp
