Are Net carbs and Caloric Deficit the same?
Calories Consumed (Food) - Calories Burned (Exercise) = Net Calories
1252 - 2400 = -1148
You've got the calculation for Net Calories right!
Net Calories = Calories Consumed - Calories Burned
This tells you how many calories you have left to maintain your weight.
With your weight loss goal of -1.5 lbs per week, this will subtract an additional 748 kcal from your Net Calories; i.e. you have 400 kcal left before you reach the calorie deficit you need to reach your weight loss goal.
You can choose a couple of different ways to calculate Net Carbs:
Net Carbs (with sugar alcohols) = Total Carbs - Fiber
Net Carbs without Sugar Alcohols = Total Carbs - Fiber AND sugar alcohols

OK. So if I understood correctly, I can eat an additional meal today that is equal or below 400 kcal. If I do not because I do not need it, i.e., I am not hungry or my body is not asking for it, then it is OK too. The problem is if I eat a meal that is larger than 400 kcal, which will be against my planned goal, correct?
BTW, I will not starve to death, I love eating. I just want to be able to understand this well to help me make decisions along the way.
