tracking sugar
New to Cronometer! Looking to track sugar on the diary but it just shows "no target" even though I put in a daily gram target. What am I doing wrong?
thanks!!

Hi Mbfink,
The nutrient targets are based on the minimum target.
To edit your sugar target, click on the target bar in the diary page.
Tick the box to enter in a custom value, then enter a value in the minimum target and apply your changes.Best,

If you are wondering about a target, health organizations recommend no more than 10% of calories from ADDED sugar. On a 2000 calorie diet this would be:
2000 x .10 = 200 calories
200 calories / 4 = 50 g added sugar
(Of course, less may be better)While it's difficult to differentiate added from natural, when you hover your mouse over "sugar" in your Cronometer diary, you can see where sources are coming from and just discount those from natural sources.

Or perhaps the good folks at Cronometer, could add another line to the fructose, glucose, sucrose list for added sugars
