Nutrition content for eggs inaccurate on cronometer?
Hey guys,
Has anyone noticed the vitamin and mineral content for eggs is a lot higher than it should be? Apparently 1 egg contains around 9% of your B12, but cronometer lists it as 20%. That goes for pretty much all the vitamin and mineral content. Any ideas how to change it?
Sorry, I'm new to the app.
TIA

I'll let @Hilary or @Karen_Cronometer answer the technical side of your question but one thing to keep in mind is that the reference label used on foods is not always the amount you actually need for the day (i.e. it's not the DRI).
Case in point, cow's milk and vitamin D in Canada. Minimum requirements are 600 IU but the reference used on a label is 200 IU. As such, one cup of cow's milk (which contains ~100 IU) makes it seem like you are getting 45% of your day's requirement, when in reality, you're only getting 17% of your daily needs.
(Nutrients on reference labels will also vary by country.)
Let me know if you'd like me to clarify further!

To follow up with @Susan_RD_101 's great explanation, you should also note, that the % value listed in your diary in Cronometer is the percent of your daily target that you have set for yourself in your Settings menu. The % listed on the packaging, or on a foods listing is the %DV value. These are not the same. Whenever possible you should look for the actual nutrient amount listed in grams, as the % values are subjective and completely related to context.
