Diary search
Is there a way to search the diary for a food or recipe?

Hi @p0wer_lifter , there is not currently a way to search diary entries, however, if you have entered it in your diary then it will be in our database, so simply enter the search term in the search dialogue!
You can Browse previous diary entries by selecting the Green Button with the Date; this will transform it into a Calendar and you can browse through previous days at your leisure, and when you find the food/recipe you are looking for, select it and copy/paste to your current day.
To make it easier to find recipes and other foods we have a new search feature, and you can also mark foods as favourites. To learn more check out this recent Blog posting!

Ideally if I search a food using the Search Foods function and I find the food of interest, when I look at the food details, it should list the last 5 times that this food was used in my diary with a link to each of those. And then would be nice to expand that list from the last 5 to more.
The suggestion posted here is not helpful. I don't see where entering the search term in the search dialog provides any assistance to searching the diary after I get search results back. The two actions are mutually exclusive. Either I manually search the diary or I search the food database, but the food database does not search my diary.
And I would expect that after 3 years, this feature would be added by now.

Just want to second this! A search feature to find the last time a recipe or food was used is glaringly missing.
