Add nutrient comparison for 2 foods
Hello, quite often I am trying to compare 2 foods and how they fit into my nutrition score. For example I add 7g of chia seeds and flax fleeds, I select one to see how much micro/macro one adds, then select the other and go back and forth to see the difference. It would be very, very helpful if I could select one (or more)… -
Dynamic Macronutrient Calculation (protein)
Cronometer offers 3 ways to set macro targets: Keto, fixed, and ratio. Only keto dynamically calculates macros. It would be helpful to have other dynamic options. Specifically, a "protein target". It is useful to have a fixed protein target in grams, as consistent intake is important for lean mass. But fat and carb… -
Newbies Seeking 100% targets
To those new and seeking 100% here is something relatively easy and budget friendly The split I am using is P-40, C-40, F-20 with a 100 calorie deficit, change 0.25 cup walnuts to 0.5 cup walnuts to maintain, (assuming a 2500 calorie total). 2 cup of Navy Beans, Cooked from Dried (2 cups after cooking) 2 cup Chicken Breast… -
Re: Pre-diabetic nutrient targets
I don't know if this will be of help or not. I was also recently diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I was also diagnosed with a candida gut infection. Both doctors provided recommended diets for each -- and there was little in common. For example, one diet said no dairy, the other permitted it! After some research, I opted to try… -

Re: How to count a 1/4 cup of tomato puree?
If 48 ounces [3 pounds] of tomatoes makes 16 ounces [2 cups] of puree, your ratio is 3 to 1. So your question would be "does a 1/4 cup of tomato puree count as 3/4 cup of vegetables?". That I don't know... but I suspect that the 16 ounces from 2 cups of puree really means "fluid ounces", which measure volume; whereas the… -
Cooked spinach
Hi..When I measure 2 cups raw spinach and then add it to chronometer...it's like 1/4 of a cup after it's cooked...do I add it as 1/4 cup of spinach or do I add it as 2 cups of spinach? So far I've been adding it as 2 cups cooked raw spinach...but after cooked it's only like 1/4 cup which is way different nutrient value… -
How to Gain Weight, Lose Fat and Build Muscle
I'm 54, 5'11'' and 170lbs. I'm vegetarian. No dairy but I do eat eggs. I'm in decent shape, done weight training on and off since high school. I'd estimate by my slightly showing abs that I probably have about 17-20% body fat. I'd like to put on about 10-15 pounds of muscle and get down to a lean 10-12% bodyfat. I weight… -
