What integration would you like to see next?

  • I'd love to have hydration data connect from Garmin Connect. My daily water needs change significantly depending on my activity level for the day. It can range anywhere from 10 cups to more than 20. It seems like Cronometer just tracks a fixed amount of water, so having that variability would be a big improvement.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for suggestions for the app/web interfaces and dashboard systems but I would love to maybe see Cronometer possibly have some integration with USDA MyPlate. Maybe have a new dashboard that shows the MyPlate 5 food groups and how the user might be meeting those 5 groups based on the recommended daily calories by Cronometer and their calorie tier levels recommended by MyPlate. The based off of that, the dashboard makes a best estimation using data confidence and if it meets the criteria for one of the five groups.

Oh and maybe also comparison of the sugar, saturated fat, and sodium based off of the MyPlate recommended limits and the amount consumed based off the food input in the diary by the user in Cronometer.

Using Android, would like to get data from Omron directly. Supposed to link via google health connect, but that does not pull blood pressure readings.

Hmm, I just noticed that Omron has a special link process to share data with google health connect, so my request may not make sense. I will test

  • Ok I was right to begin with Omron does not pass bp data to health connect, even after linking, and so cronometer does not link with Omron BP devices.

  • It would be nice if Cronometer recognized Alpha Gal allergy (eg, mammal products, including lard. Not poultry).

mattdwyerva: On an older Samsung phone I did get Omron BP readings in Cronometer. I have a new OnePlus Android phone and haven't tried to set that up, so unfortunately I don't know what hoops I had to jump through to do it.

  • I think the reason is the demise of Google Fit. Health Connect doesn't seem to work as well

  • I wish the y axis of the weight graph did not start at 0.0 since then trends are impossible to see. If the goal is a 10 lb loss, then maybe the x axis range should be +/- twice that with current weight in the middle. So, if current weight is 200#, then y axis would start at 180# and go up to 220#.

Best way to accomplish this is to have code that allows the user to customize the axes, imo.

  • This topic is 5 years old so this comment may not get much attention.

However, HOW ABOUT EXPORT to GARMIN? This was asked for a while back and a "maybe coming soon" was the only reply I could find.

Right now I have to double log my food into MyFitnessPal and Chronometer as MFP does feed Garmin Connect. I would love to not have to do that and focus on Chronometer only as my food logging tool.

  • Oura

I know that Oura syncs with Cronometer, but this is a one-way street. Bi-directional sync would be MUCH more useful. The current situation requires double-entry bookkeeping...
