We already linked with Apple Health, Google Fit, Fitbit, Garmin, Nokia/Withings, Jawbone, and we're about add Polar. What would you like to see next?

    Strava, if we could import only certain activity types. I don't know if that's feasible.

    Here's the issue. Strava's power based calories for cycling are pretty spot on. They assume about 20% efficiency, which is well supported by exercise science. Their running calories, however, are off the mark. Mayhew's equation, which is well-supported, is 0.97 kcal / kg / km. Strava for some unexplained reason uses 1.23 kcal / kg / km where km is gradient adjusted.

    So I'd like to be able to import cycling directly from Strava instead of going through Apple Health. But I'd like to manually enter my running, since Cronometer's calorie numbers based on pace are more accurate.

    I'd like deeper integration with google fit - if I open the mobile app, it should synchronise past days' activity and food to and from google fit - not just the currently selected day. Currently, if I haven't opened the app in a couple days, for example, if I've been logging online, It only updates the current day that I'm viewing. To get it to do the past days, I have to continuously press the back button until it has gone through all the days.

    In terms of an actual new platform, I'd say Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa (Or IFTTT, so users can do their own integrations).

    Personally I'd love TomTom to be the next, as that's the fitness watch I will be purchasing soon. But I suspect Strava (which I voted for) would have the widest benefit in terms of the number of users it would benefit.

    I have just switched from my Garmin to the Oura Ring. My wardrobe and the Garmin just did not jive. I am now a great fan of the Oura! It gives me much more info on sleep and adds night time temperature variation, heart beat variation, and several more important sleep and readiness biometrics. I miss Garmin's GPS and satellite map of one's walking course, but I can still wear it for long walks whenever I decide to track my course. Anyway, I am a fan of the Oura and hope it can be added. I want my Oura to read my data in Cronometer.

    Add feature that allows you to add the time of day when adding food or biometrics.

  • I just discovered cronometer this week and am looking at it with a fresh set of eyes. I love the nutrition info offered - far more detailed than fitnesspal however I hesitate to switch because adding new foods and recipes is cumbersome. I want the ability to paste a URL and import a recipe or type in a simple list and have cronometer match foods and build the recipe for me, lastly it would be very helpful to be able to take a pic of a barcode and have all of the nutrient info populated. thank you!

    @edibleNat Great to have you on board! While we do not have a feature to paste a URL, you can scan barcodes with our mobile app!
    On Android To add a food with the barcode scanner feature, select the diary tab, and then the "+" icon. From here select "add food", and select the Barcode icon in the top right corner. You will then be prompted to scan the barcode on the package. If the food item is not already in our database, you can add it as a custom food for yourself and you can add it to our queue of food items to be added to our database.
    On iOS, select the Orange "+" in the bottom center of the main page and then select "Scan Food"

  • We can't use their data (OpenFoodFacts) in a commercial product. Their licence prohibits it.

    Reflex's Smart Chef Portable Scale app... It is a nice little option when out and about... but switching between the apps is a little cumbersome...

    They integrate with MFP, FITBIT and a handful of others...

  • More measurement options. Some are good--they provide Tablespoon, Teaspoon, cup, gram, etc. But then some only have gram and sometimes I spend more time building a recipe than the actual cook time.

    Not a complaint, though. There's probably a good reason for this.

    @jerbir We use gram amounts as a standard to provide accuracy and consistency. Especially if you are creating custom recipes you will want to enter the gram amounts so that you recipe becomes more usable.
    You can always add more serving size types to a food yourself by editing a copy of the food and saving it as your own custom food for future use.

    If you want the most accuracy, we recommend using a kitchen scale to weigh your ingredients to the nearest gram. Most foods have different serving sizes associated with them, but these can be problematic, especially for certain types of foods. For example, if you want the nutrition for ‘1 cup of raw baby spinach’, this is a very subjective measure. One person may loosely pack the leaves into a cup, and another may stuff them in tightly. Both have 1 cup of baby spinach, but the actual amounts are completely different. The only way to remove the ambiguity here is to weigh the spinach and enter the actual gram weight. This is less of an issue for food types that are more uniform like liquids or powders (my cup of flour should be the same as yours)."
