CUSTOM EXERCISES!
Biggest flaw in this platform by far is the inability to save custom exercises. I almost left Crono to go back to MFP (gag) because of this. I figured out a workaround, but it's still a pain in the ass. Make this your top priority!!
Re: How many people on here are on the keto diet?
I've been eating paleo, but I have been contemplating going keto. I can cut the carbs, but it's the protein that I have a harder time keeping low. What kind of fats are you eating that don't increase your protein? I can only eat so many olives and drinking oil doesn't sound appealing at all.
Re: About colestrol and saturated fat
Seeing as how there has never been an ACTUAL link to serum cholesterol and heart disease, do what feels best for you. A standard cholesterol panel is NOT an indicator of cardiovascular health and it never has been. The AHA has said coconut oil is good, bad, good and now it's bad again and that's just with coconut oil. Either have a lipoproifle done which shows you your LDL sub -types or a Cardio IQ test which will ACTUALLY give you an indicator of cardiovascular health. More than half the people who suffer a coronary event have normal cholesterol, statins have never been shown to lower people risk of a repeat event. No shortage of reputable studies that show this.
Probiotics and Enzymes under the "Nutritional Facts" panel
Hello,
Fermented food items have a list and amount of its probiotics contents printed under the Nutritional Facts panel (U.S.), wouldn't be beneficial for Cronometer to create entries for these ingredients , and to track them?
Not all individuals require all probiotics at one time; for example, the requirements for L. acidophilus are different from those of L. salivarius, therefore it is beneficial to know what was ingested and how much of it.
It would also be helpful for Cronometer users to be able to track which particular strain was beneficial for their need, if that information was available.
Thanks
Hello
Hi, my name is Deb. I've been keto for almost 2 weeks. Feeling great and loving it. My husband Tim just joined as well as my brother in law and his wife. I have been using the cronometer since the beginning and I love it. One thing I noticed right away about my past. I ate way too much protein and servings were way to big. Well I hope there is plenty of like mindedness going on here. I feel like I need friends that are working same kind of program.
How to get enough potassium on a keto diet?
I've been using Cronometer for 7 weeks now and I can't say enough good things about how awesome it's been to be able to track all my macros and nutrients. I just upgraded to gold and ran a nutrition report and one nutrient I've been chronically low on is potassium. Oracle showed me a list of foods high in potassium but even the best of those might give me 5% of my daily needs. Even most supplements are limited to 2% for some reason. How can I get more potassium into me?
Re: Adding a 'Time' field
A time (editable) to allow me to input past records of HDL, LDL, etc³ would be fantastic
Re: Metric to track poops
Hi @finnd1 ,
You get to choose the unit of measurement when creating custom biometrics. In this case, most people will want to track the number of times they go to the bathroom, but you can measure the size if it is important you .
Saving a group of foods together (like MyFitnessPal's "meals")
Meals let you save sets of food you frequently eat together, then add all of those foods to your diary at once. This is helpful because you can then alter the amounts of each food because they're all listed individually instead of being bundled into a recipe.
This is similar to Cronometer's current copy functionality (which is great, btw!). To use CM's copy function this way, you have to go through your diary until you find a day where you had those foods together, click each of them, copy them, then paste them into your current day.
If CM had meals, you could save a group of foods through the same UI as copying. Then, the meals you've saved would show up in the Foods section where custom foods and recipes are — and maybe in search as well.
For example, lets say I drink a lot of coffee, and I always have it with a little milk and sugar, but how much milk and sugar I add each day varies. Some coffee tastes better with more milk, some days I'm just in the mood for a sweet drink, and some days I have it nearly black.
If I save a recipe for My Morning Cup of Coffee, this is really annoying to change. If I could save a meal for my coffee, I can add the same coffee, milk, and sugar entries I always use together, and then modify the amounts for the specific cup of coffee I'm having today.
Re: Lifetime Subscription
Hi Ryan, sorry we had to retire these a while back, as they aren't very good for a long-term sustainable business model.
